HMS Daring, handed over to the Navy in December 2008 and described as the world's most advanced destroyer, has already been in for a refit!

At least the model has. Our Bristol 'dockyards' have been busily transforming an earlier and basic model of the ship into a fully detailed version for use by the MOD. The 100th scale model now looks fantastic in a new coat of paint, new ship's crests and a comprehensive set of armaments, ladders and other naval bits 'n' bobs.

HMS Daring is one of an increasing number of marine projects we've undertaken in recent years and as a result we are launching a new micro site - Amalgam marine will be available after Easter.
